Where does
the name Brusson come from?
The name Brusson appears to derive from ‘Bruxeum’, a Latin term referring to the ancient gold mines in the area, which were already in operation in ancient times. Just a few minutes from the village, you can visit the famous Chamousira gold mines, a testament to a long and fascinating history.
