Our
rooms

The forest has always been a source of inspiration: for the light filtering through the trees, for the silence, and for that feeling of losing oneself and finding oneself again.

Relax and comfort

Hospitality
simple
and authentic

A Barma Drola we believe in simple, authentic hospitality: that’s why all our rooms have free Wi-Fi, but no televisions. Here, the real spectacle is outside the window.

Choose your room

Each room is named
aftera tree

I am convinced that people don’t simply choose a room… it is the rooms that choose them: based on their character, sensibility or disposition.

Room
Larice

In the Larici room, the barn and the corner where the rye was threshed are still clearly visible. The trellised balconies were used to ripen the ears of corn that were not yet ready.

Room
Cembro

The Cembro room was also once a barn. Here, the harvest was laid out with care and attention: the hay had to be pressed gently: often by the children – so as not to damage the leaves and flowers.

Room
Scots pine

This room tells the story of my childhood and growing up: the Scots pine is part of the house where I grew up.

Room
Spruce
Red

The Spruce and the Alders are two parts of the house that have been completely rebuilt following a collapse. Both thrive in shade and near water, providing shelter for animals, and reflect the simple life of the mountains.

Room
Ciliegio

Cherry trees rarely grow at an altitude of 1,850 metres, but in Estoul they once cut down one large enough to make school desks from it. I love its rich autumn colour – warm and inviting.

Room
Ontano

Alder trees grow along the streams, and as a child I loved to graze the cows in those places, playing games, lighting little fires on my own and crawling into forbidden holes.
