To 1724, Estoul, Brusson
The renovation
of the house
Our house dates back to 1724 and is situated in the heart of the hamlet of Estoul, a picturesque mountain village at an altitude of 1,850 metres, overlooking the Ayas Valley.
The story
Lives and memories
within these walls
Generations have come and gone amongst these ancient stones: children playing on the balconies, farmers working with wood or gathering hay, smiling and weary faces that have shaped the history of the house.
A place where time slows down and emotions take centre stage, because every gesture speaks of the beauty of a simple yet intense life.
Memories of a barn
The layout
of the house
The ground floor houses the stables, the beating heart of rural life: the warmth and movement of the animals coexist with those of the people, creating a natural bond between those who live there and those who work there.

On the mezzanine floor, the kitchen and the rooms tell the story of daily life: water buckets, encrusted cauldrons, wooden tables and beds, bearing witness to the generations who have lived in these spaces. Beneath the stone roof, the barn and threshing floor preserve larch beams smoothed by centuries of harvests: a place that holds memories, labour and history, now transformed into a cosy retreat nestled in the mountains.
